Position Summary: The Managing Director is a senior leadership role responsible for driving impactful financial restructuring and operational turnaround initiatives for our clients. This position demands exceptional analytical, strategic, and leadership acumen to assess complex business challenges, craft actionable plans, and guide their successful execution. The Managing Director will also be instrumental in expanding the firm’s business development efforts, enhancing practice standards, and mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Engagement & Financial Restructuring:
    • Partner with clients and stakeholders to design and execute comprehensive turnaround strategies.
    • Lead financial modeling efforts, including scenario planning and 13-week cash flow forecasting.
    • Conduct in-depth assessments of business operations and implement restructuring solutions tailored to client needs.
    • Provide expertise and guidance in Chapter 11 bankruptcies, Receivership processes, and other fiduciary roles.
  • Business Development:
    • Actively promote Newpoint’s seven key service offerings to referral sources and prospective clients.
    • Drive client acquisition efforts through targeted pitches, strategic marketing initiatives, and relationship-building.
  • Leadership & Supervision:
    • Provide oversight and mentorship to junior staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and timely work products.
    • Contribute to the firm’s entrepreneurial consulting practice by developing training programs and enhancing internal capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related disciplines.
    • Advanced qualifications such as an MBA, CFA, or CPA are highly desirable.
  • Experience:
    • 6–8 years of experience in consulting, professional services, or related fields.
    • Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, including the creation and interpretation of three-statement financial models and scenario analyses.
    • Proven experience with Chapter 11 bankruptcies, receivership processes, and other fiduciary roles.
  • Skills:
    • Superior proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for analytical and presentation purposes.
    • Strong project management capabilities with a proven ability to lead diverse teams and manage multiple priorities.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
    • Familiarity with CRM systems and financial management tools is advantageous.

Work Environment & Requirements:

  • Comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% for client engagements and business development activities.
  • Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
